Heartwood Health Policy

Stay Home When Sick

​

If the answer to any question below is yes, please keep your child home.

 

Health Questions  

  • Has your child had any fever reducing medication for a fever within the past 24 hours?

  • Has your child been sick with any of the symptoms listed below within the past 24 hrs?

  • Is your child presently experiencing any of the following symptoms?

    • Unusually tired or difficult to wake

    • Lack of appetite

    • Pale skin

    • Rash, unknown cause or contagious

    • Sore throat

    • Cough, new and/or contagious

    • Fever100 degrees or higher

    • Nausea

    • Body aches

    • Diarrhea

    • Runny nose not associated with seasonal allergies

    • Lice, participants can return after treatment​

COVID-19: If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please refer to the Washington Department of Health, What To Do if You Test Positive for COVID-19 guidelines here.

 

It’s not uncommon for children to arrive feeling fine and then develop symptoms as the day progresses. If your child begins to feel unwell while at Heartwood, we will gently separate them from their group and contact you for pickup.

For the comfort of your child and to minimize spreading viruses, we ask that you arrive within 30 minutes of our call.

We are unable to offer refunds if a child cannot attend due to illness.

Heartwood provides outdoor enrichment classes to families of preschool, homeschool, and school-aged kids in the greater Seattle area, communities of Kirkland, Bothell, Kenmore, Woodinville, Lake Forest Park, Brier, Shoreline, Seattle, Redmond, Bellevue, Snohomish, Edmonds, and Montlake Terrace.
